Natural Inks

2020 - 2022
Picture
As for so many people around the world, my home and the immediate surroundings became the center of life in 2020. When faced with no where to go but where I was, I found that it was full to the brim with possibilities. I fell in love with all that was on offer especially the colors and textures of the treasures in the natural world.  Since then I have learned how to make ink from the plants, trees and flowers that grow in the area and it has become the way I want t0 express myself. I continue to find a way to meld together the countless things I love about life and then place them in one tiny bottle at a time. In the years since, the ink I make is the only medium I use in my art practice. It continues to be magical and all encompassing.
